Music

I tend to like to organize and present my music in three to five song sets, or EP's. These EP's have some sort of common theme or common musical genre. All of the EP's that I've completed are shown on this page.  As a neat little bonus for folks who actually come and check out this website (like you), you'll discover that I post my completed work here first before releasing these songs on the streaming services and other publishing sites.

I Protest!

Growing up in the 1960's and 1970's, my generation participated in numerous protests, in many forms. I do my protesting through songs. This EP includes three complaints and commentary about tough topics.

My Family Tree

I have a wide family tree with deep roots. This EP tells three stories from my family history - from the American Revolution, to homestead ranches in the West, to life in the mountains of Tennessee.

Lift Me Up

Lift Me Up includes three songs intended to be, well, uplifting. One is a fun song written by Patrick Kelly, a songwriter from Tucson, Arizona. One is a reflection on what's really important in a relationship. The third is my observations on what it takes to make connections with others that can reveal some magic and expand your world.

Give Your Brother A Break

Give Your Brother a Break is a set of five songs of understanding and forgiveness. All but one are cover songs that are particularly meaningful to me. The lyrics to the one original song on this EP were written by Joe Gilder who runs an online music production community called "Home Studio Corner" that's been super helpful to me to improve my music.

Stories From Along the Way

Stories from Along the Way includes a song that I wrote in 1977, another that tells the story of the night I met my wife, and a third song that's about my first experience at the Telluride Blues festival.
