Last night I had the pleasure of seeing Eliza Neals (https://www.elizaneals.com/about/) at the Norwich Arts Center in Norwich, CT (https://www.norwicharts.org). I could make this really short and sweet, and just say "OMG!". This was the second time I'm seen Eliza. My reaction was the same both times. She has an incredibly strong voice, and a range that's unbelieveable. Her original tunes are true to the blues, and she does some great covers. She's been at her trade for 10 years and is one of the younger musicians out there that honors the blues musicians that have come before her. She has a really solid band behind her, and interacts with them and the audience in a very honest, personable way.
If you're into the Blues, or into incredible singers, and haven't seen her, find a show or festival she's doing near you and go. If you can't find a festival or show near you, contact a local venue or festival organizer, and tell them to check out Eliza's music and invite her. She and her band are one of those hard working groups who are touring wherever they can, doing their own promotion, etc. You won't be sorry!
